What is FSWEP Jobs?

Benefits of FSWEP Jobs

If an FSWEP student completes his or her six months of continuous service, they can apply for excellent health and dental benefits and contribute to their public service pension. To be admitted to the FSWEP program, students must meet the following requirements:

• Be a full-time or post-secondary student at an accredited institution. *
• Hold a full-time student status at your current educational institution;*

  1. Log in to your GC Jobs account. The FSWEP registration page can be accessed from the Government of Canada Jobs Homepage (jobs.gc.ca).
  2. Login to your account. If you don’t already have a GC job account, you’ll need to create one first. See the “Creating a GC Job Account” guide.
  3. Click Home to return to the Government of Canada Jobs home page.
  4. Select Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) to go to the FSWEP home page.
  5. Once you reach the home page of FSWEP, scroll down. Click “Apply” for the vacancy you want to apply for. This will take you to the job postings.
  6. Alternatively, you can access job postings from the job search in your GC Jobs account. From the My Jobs Menu home page, click the Job Search tab.
  7. To narrow your search, select Student Programs from the Job Type drop-down menu and click Search Jobs.
  8. Please click the program you want to apply for. This will take you to the job postings.
  9. Click Apply Now to start your application.
  10. Press “Confirm”.
