Charlotte FC striker Karol Swiderski has been named on the Poland roster for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Swiderski was CLTFC’s first-ever Designated Participant (DP), signing from Greek facet PAOK in January 2022.
Alongside his new crew as a complete, the 25-year-old loved a promising debut marketing campaign in MLS, scoring 10 targets and offering six assists in 30 appearances, serving to Charlotte end ninth within the Japanese Convention, simply six factors adrift of the Playoffs.
With eight targets and 17 caps already to his identify, Swiderski joins the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Piotr Zielinski, and Wojciech Szczesny on a powerful Polish roster heading to Qatar.
Sadly, Swiderski’s membership teammate and fellow DP Kamil Jozwiak missed out on the World Cup roster, regardless of choosing up 22 senior caps so far. Jozwiak, 24, failed to attain and registered simply three assists in 19 MLS appearances following a transfer from Derby County in March.
