Patrick Mahomes Has Scary Message For Rest Of NFL During Chiefs Super Bowl Ring Ceremony

For the second year in a row the Kansas City Chiefs are getting the hardware that comes with being Super Bowl champions.

On Thursday night the Chiefs received their Super Bowl rings after taking down the San Francisco 49ers in February. After back-to-back titles and three in five years, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Chiefs get complacent.

Who are we kidding, of course it would. Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes said as much on Thursday night with a three-word statement. “We ain’t done,” Mahomes said on his Instagram story. Kansas City is enjoying the win tonight, but Mahomes knows this offseason is all about business and the hopes of a fourth title.

“I think you’ve seen we’ve enjoyed it,” he said, via Arrowhead Pride. “Guys have traveled around and been able to a lot of great things. First of all, I thought we had a great OTAs and minicamp to this point.”

“But every year in this league, you have to come out with that same mentality. You have to be hungry. It’s hard. You saw it last year. You’ve seen it every year that I’ve been here.”

“You have to battle in order to win that Super Bowl. Guys have to have that mentality. I think what Veach and Coach Reid do is they bring in a group of guys that are hungry — and they infuse them with the guys that have been here. It usually comes out with a great mix when you get to training camp.”
