The Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers are two teams that Tom Brady has identified as serious rivals to the Kansas City Chiefs’ hopes of winning a Super Bowl treble.
The Chiefs, who have won three of the last four NFL championships, are led by the dynamic team of Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. They are becoming a modern-day NFL dynasty under head coach Andy Reid, but it remains to be seen if they can continue to dominate this season.
Not even the unbeatable New England Patriots, led by Bill Belichick, could win three straight Super Bowls. In light of this, the now-retired Brady—who played a crucial role for the Patriots in those years—admitted that he sees the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills as possible AFC competitors.
During a conversation with the seven-time Super Bowl winner Stephen A. Smith, the quarterbacks of both teams were identified as crucial elements that the Chiefs would face. “Man, all those teams are going to be tough, but because of their quarterback play, I think it’s still the Bills or the Bengals,” he stated.
“They’re up there right now. They are unique. To me, the Ravens are right there; they just need to perform better in the postseason. There will be a Super Bowl featuring the Bengals. The Bills have played in titles matches.”
He responded, “I think it’s still probably the 49ers and the Packers, I think, are going to be a great team,” when asked about the NFL’s best teams outside of the Chiefs. The Rams, in my opinion, will also be a strong team. Excellent offensive play, receiving corps.
“They lost Aaron Donald, and nobody can ever really replace him, but they have a pretty strong defense and a really good draft class. That team, in my opinion, will also be interesting to watch.”
