Travis Kelce is definitely playing favorites on Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? The NFL star revealed he has eyes for only one blonde musician – and it’s his superstar girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
When a question about Lady Gaga’s birth name came up on a recent episode of the game show, celebrity panelist Sophia Stallone said, “We love Lady Gaga.”
Fellow panelist Natasha Leggero piped up and added, “But we don’t love her as much as any other blonde singers, you know?” Natasha, 50, was, of course, referring to Taylor, 34, and continued, “There are some other blonde singers that we like more than Lady Gaga.”
Travis, 35, however, couldn’t hold back his smile as he replied, “I will have to agree with you on that. I do concur.”
The Ohio native nabbed the hosting role for Prime Video’s spinoff of the early 2000s hit Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? earlier this year.
“I grew up loving game shows, and I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?” Travis said when the news was announced.
“The original show (Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?) is a great success, so to be bringing a new format with everyone’s favorite celebrities to the screen, will definitely be entertaining.
I’m just happy to be on the hosting side of the equation here and excited to see how these famous faces keep up.” Travis has had the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” singer by his side over the past year, and she even visited him on the set while filming Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?.
“Taylor was there and obviously I always love having Taylor’s support,” the Super Bowl champ told Entertainment Tonight on October 9.
“I’ve always had that support from my family and friends. I do the same for them in every way of life that I can, and I’m just very fortunate in that for sure.”
Travis also gushed about how excited he was to be the face of the new show. “It was the perfect fit. I think that I’m a very team-oriented guy so being on stage with a bunch of other celebrities and kind of the riff back and forth between us, I think was a perfect match for me,” he told the outlet.
While this was Travis’ first foray into hosting duties, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said that Amazon “made him feel comfortable from the jump.”
“We ran through the show so many times to where I started to really grasp it and make it my own,” Travis said during an interview with TODAY.com on October 13. “We had so many unbelievable guests and celebrities, familiar faces, however you want to call them — it was just so genuine and so much fun to be a part of.
Everybody was just so fun to work with that it didn’t really feel like work.”
