LiqitrainingTaylor Swift resumed her “Eras Tour” in Miami last weekend, hosting three shows at Hard Rock Stadium. On night two, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, an avowed Swiftie, was in attendance.
While spending time in the VIP section, Portnoy ran into Ross Travis, former NFL player and close friend of Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
Rumors have been circulating that Ross Travis is dating one of Swift’s backup dancers, and Portnoy threw some gas on that fire during an appearance on Barstool’s “Taylor Watch” podcast. After Portnoy mentioned meeting Ross at the show, “Taylor Watch” co-host Kelly Keegan brought up the backup dancer rumors, which Portnoy believes are accurate.
“I would guess he is because why else would you show up alone?” Portnoy asked. “I mean, I get you like Taylor Swift but you’ve seen her 14 times and you show up alone in Miami? (It would be) A little weird, so yeah that may be it.”
Ross Travis, 31, played college football at Penn State before joining the Chiefs in 2015. He played three years in Kansas City before moving on to the Colts, Cardinals, Lions and Jets, closing out his NFL career in 2021 with 14 receptions for 142 yards to his name.
If the Chaska, Minn. native is dating one of Swift’s backup dancers, it shouldn’t be too long before more info gets out and we know which one it is.
As for Portnoy, he had a special gift waiting for him at the Miami show: a letter from Swift thanking him for his longtime support.
“Dave, I’m so happy to have you at the show tonight!” the letter read. “I wanted to say thank you for always being so supportive, so loyal and for having my back when a lot of people didn’t. I hope you have a blast tonight!”
