This came in the form of playing a significant role in the FX horror series “Grotesquerie.” The show was produced by multi-Emmy Award-winner Ryan Murphy, who was also the man behind highly successful shows such as “Glee,” “Nip/Tuck” and “American Horror Story,” to name a few.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Murphy shared his honest thoughts on Kelce’s performance in “Grotesquerie.”

The 58-year-old also revealed one specific request for Kelce’s pop megastar girlfriend Taylor Swift. “I’ve talked to Taylor’s people about various things through the years, and all I will say is that I think she’s great and if she ever has time to do it, I would do it in a heartbeat,” Murphy said. “I think she’s one of the greats.”

The producer/director/screenwriter then went on to say that he was “so shy” talking to Kelce about Swift but that the three-time Super Bowl champion was “very sweet about it and respectful.”

“They are a pop-culture phenomenon,” Murphy continued. “It’s a very interesting dynamic, the way they’ve captured the imagination of the world. But I always knew Travis could do it. I have this saying: A star is a star is a star.

I just knew he could do it. He rolls up his sleeves and he says, ‘Ok, let’s do this.'” It appears that Murphy is a bit of a Swiftie, too. According to the renowned TV personality, he directed one of the episodes of the show which featured Kelce and his co-star Niecy Nash-Betts driving away in a red getaway car.

Murphy acknowledged that this was a “Taylor Swift nod,” referencing the “Eras Tour” headliner’s 2017 hit “Getaway Car” from her 2017 album “Reputation.”
