About Yonaguni Song

Bad Bunny’s second single, “Yonaguni,” was released in the year 2021. The song’s title refers to the Japanese island of Yonaguni. The Yonaguni Structures are located on this island and are thought to be remnants of an ancient city that was drowned under the sea.

Benedict was serious in his letter about the romantic sentiments you have for a woman who appears to be in love with you, stating that it is impossible to forget about it and that it is unavoidable to remember to drink alcohol.

Despite these feelings, Bad Bunny’s ratio is prohibited because the woman already has a partner, but his desire for her and the song ends up being an invitation to the woman to abandon her partner and escape with him, using Yonaguni as a metaphor to explain how far they would go for it.

As he noted in an interview with Zane Lowe, this song is based on their most recent feelings— it was created just three weeks ago— and it is beautiful, smooth, and danceable, with a summer vibe.

Yonaguni Lyrics English Translation

Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah
Yeah-yeah-yeah-eh-yeah

One more night and more drinks
You don’t leave me alone, you don’t leave my mind
Although I know I shouldn’t, hey
Think of you baby, but when I drink
Your name comes to me, your face, your laugh and your hair, hey
Tell me where you are’, that I take a flight for you
And it came to Yonaguni

Although I know I shouldn’t, hey
Think of you baby, but when I drink
Your name comes to me, your face
Your laugh and your hair, hey
Tell me where you are’, that I take a flight for you
And it came to Yonaguni, hey

Don’t look for me’ on Instagram
Mommy, look for me at home
Pa’ to see’ what happens, hey
If you try me, you’ll marry me, hey
That b@stard doesn’t even hug you
And I’m crazy to touch you
But I dare not text you
You with any outfit the part’
Mommy, you are apart

Shorty’s got a real big @ss, huh
To-too big
And I have it studied’, I’m graduating right now
And I tattoo it on my face
I saw that you saw my story and uploaded one for me
I was going to sleep, hey
In the disco there were a thousand
And me dancing with you in my mind

Even though I know I shouldn’t
Think of you baby, but when I drink
Your name comes to me, your face
Your laugh and your hair, hey
Tell me where you are’, that I take a flight for you
And it came to Yonaguni

If you give me your address, I’ll send you a thousand letters’
If you give me your bank account, a million pesos’
All night on my knees I pray to God
So that before the end of the year you give me a kiss
And start 2023 well b@stard
With you and a blunt
You see yourself murderous with that denim
You k!ll me without a gun
And I buy you a Banshee
Gucci, Givenchy
A poodle, a frenchie
The grass, the munchie’
I sing you a mariachi
I become Itachi, huh

Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah
Bad Bunny, baby, baby
Bad Bunny, baby, baby

I want to have s# today
But only with you
Where are you?
Where are you?
I want to have s# today
But only with you
Where are you?
Where are you? Eh
