But Patrick Mahomes and company might just be getting started. Earlier this morning the Chiefs made a trade with the Tennessee Titans for three-time All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
Just a day earlier, Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, was reveling in the team’s undefeated stated. “6-0 BABYYYYYY,” she said in a post on Instagram showing off her baby bump while on the field before Kansas City’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.
It’s been a busy month for Mahomes, who had to defend her relationship with record-setting artist Taylor Swift.
The friends were spotted sitting separately from each other at the Chiefs’ season-opener against the Baltimore Ravens after Mahomes “liked” a post about Donald Trump.
However, a report suggested that was much ado about nothing. “They are very good friends and they were so excited to go to the game, but they had different plans as it happens sometimes,” a source told The Sun of Brittany and Swift.
“…There are absolutely zero tensions between them, they love and respect each other a lot, they were just wanting a different kind of vibe for the first game of the season at home.”
Mahomes hasn’t announced who she’s voting for, but Swift left no doubt. Next up for the Chiefs is a battle against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday afternoon.
