That’s one fit mama!
Brittany Mahomes demonstrated her rigorous exercise regimen, which is meant to assist her avoid developing “mom butt” throughout her pregnancy and after giving birth.
On Monday, Patrick Mahomes’ wife reposted a video that her fitness teacher Kirsty Rae had shared to her Instagram Story.
Brittany, 29, was seen in the brief video strengthening her buttocks with a cable crossover machine fastened to her ankle while sporting a black bodysuit and white sneakers.
Brittany shared a sneak peek of her pregnancy workout with the fitness enthusiast and fellow Kansas City Chiefs WAG Lyndsay Bell earlier this month.
The expectant mother of three was observed performing arm exercises, including squats, with a barbell.
“Many women experience what’s called ‘mom butt’ during and after pregnancy, which happens when the glutes lose shape and muscle mass,” the trainer captioned the video.
“This is often due to changes in posture and how we move as our bodies adjust to pregnancy,” Rae explained.
However, the wellness coach declared that “it doesn’t have to be that way.”
“By focusing on glute engagement and maintaining strength training, you can actually continue to build muscle,” Rae said. “It’s all about proper movement, posture, and progressive overload.”
As a former soccer player, Brittany has a strong desire to maintain her physical fitness.
After showing off her muscles for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue in May, she even divulged the key to her toned body.
“People have asked me a lot what I did in the gym to get ‘Swimsuit Ready’. Fun fact – I shot for @si_swimsuit on literally a week’s notice 🤪,” she captioned a video of her working out at the time.
“I always preach that staying consistent in the gym and fueling my body well is what helps me be the best version of myself year-round, not just during swimsuit season!”
Her “simple but effective” routine usually includes hip thrusts, curtsey lunges, and single-leg deadlifts.
The 29-year-old quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs and Brittany announced that she is expecting a girl in July.
The couple, who married in March 2022, are already parents to two children: a three-year-old daughter named Sterling Sky and a one-year-old son named Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III.
