It has become increasingly apparent over the past year that Taylor Swift is the Kansas City Chiefs’ good luck charm. With that said, there’s a theory floating around that she’s simultaneously cursing another AFC team.
In just two weeks, Swift will perform at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana. Although that shouldn’t really impact the NFL season, her upcoming trip might actually help out the Indianapolis Colts.
How is that possible? Well, a pair of teachers in Indiana have come up with a graph that proves the Colts win every time Swift stays away from the Chiefs. We’re not kidding. Erin Bangel of Clarks Creek Elementary came up with a chart that shows if Swift attends each Chiefs game.
When she’s supporting Travis Kelce, the Colts end up losing. When she’s away from the team, however, the Colts end up winning their respective game.
“We’ve seen a big trend in data. If Taylor goes to a Chiefs game, the Colts lose,” Bangel said. “If she doesn’t go, the Colts win.” This past Sunday, the Colts defeated the Miami Dolphins to improve to 4-3.
Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but Swift wasn’t at the Chiefs-49ers game at Levi’s Stadium. The Colts will face the Houston Texans this Sunday in a pivotal AFC South matchup. As for the Chiefs, they’ll take on the Las Vegas Raiders on the road. Swift won’t be able to attend this Sunday’s game for the Chiefs.
She’ll be in New Orleans as part of her Eras Tour. If this theory is accurate, the Colts will defeat the Texans this weekend.
