During Taylor Swift’s outdoor Eras Tour performances at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami over the weekend, Travis Kelce commended her for enduring the pouring rain.
In Wednesday’s episode of his podcast, “New Heights,” the 35-year-old tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs stated, “Congratulations to Tay Tay for putting up with a couple rain shows there.”
Jason Kelce, Kelce’s brother, who went to Swift’s show in Miami on Friday, recalled how the rain added to the excitement of the evening.
“This Miami performance was amazing. Jason enthused about the weather and everything. “Dude, it was really something else.” Halfway through, I texted you, saying, “Tay is killing it in this rain.”
The 36-year-old former NFL quarterback claimed that when Swift, 34, appeared in her new attire in the rain during the “Reputation” segment of her three-plus-hour performance, the audience “could have f–king erupted.”
It was crazy how much energy there was. “It was really thrilling,” he continued.
Travis acknowledged that his Kansas City Chiefs game versus the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday prevented him from attending the concert with his family, and that he felt “all the FOMO [fear of missing out] in the world.”
He remarked, “Man, I wish I was there. The Miami stadium was just on another level.”
