Following their thrilling 25-22 victory against the San Francisco 49ers in the 2024 Super Bowl on Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs went to XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas to celebrate — and dance to some Swift throwbacks, of course.
At the star-studded afterparty, the Chiefs tight end, 34, and hitmaker, 34, were seen rejoicing together to Fearless classics, including — unsurprisingly — “Love Story.” In videos posted by Swift admirers on X (previously Twitter), the duo is shown dancing to the song not once, but twice.
In one video, they dance to a remix of the song, serenading each other with lines like “You’ll be the prince, and I’ll be the princess,” while pointing at one other. Kelce moved in for a kiss after claiming each royal position in the song. The singer, who was dressed in a glittering Amiri jacket, obliged by putting her arms around the NFL player.
In a separate video filmed inside the club, the couple danced to the song once again, fuelling the rom-com coupling comparisons by closing the beautiful moment with a smooch. Other footage from the back-to-back Super Bowl champions’ Vegas party show Kelce in the DJ booth dancing to another (equally romantic) Fearless hit, “You Belong with Me.”
Clips from the occasion show the star tight end looking for Swift during the “see” in “Why can’t you see you belong with me?” before devoting the second half of the line to his Grammy-winning girlfriend. Swift, who is somewhere in the crowd, can be seen repaying the love by pointing to Kelce in the booth while singing the popular chorus.
Swift and Kelce’s after-party kisses, while lovely, were not the first of the evening. Following the Chiefs’ thrilling overtime victory, the athlete and pop diva celebrated with a sweet on-field kiss. And, in a post-game press conference, Kelce declared that given both his and Swift’s eventful years, the couple is “on top of the world” right now.
“Man, it’s on top of the world right now, baby,” he told reporters, adding: “It’s a good feeling.”
