Embassy of Japan Answers Whether Taylor Swift Can Fly from Tokyo to Vegas in Time for the Super Bowl

Taylor Swift reacts to Viral "You Belong With Me" moment with Travis Kelce

The Japanese Embassy in Washington, D.C., joined the chorus of concerns over Taylor Swift’s hectic travel schedule in February. Following the Kansas City Chiefs punched their ticket to the 2024 Super Bowl, fans questioned if Swift, 34, would be able to attend the game in Las Vegas on February 11 following her Eras Tour stop in Tokyo to support the team and her tight end boyfriend Travis Kelce, 34.

In a statement, the embassy used Swift’s album titles Speak Now, Fearless, and Red to ensure Swifties and NFL fans that the “Mastermind” singer could “comfortably” go. “Despite the 12-hour flight and 17-hour time difference, the Embassy can confidently Speak Now to say that if she departs Tokyo in the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins,” the embassy said in a statement posted on its verified @JapanEmbDC Instagram account and other social media profiles.

“We know that many people in Japan are excited to experience Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, so we wanted to confirm that anyone concerned can be Fearless in knowing that this talented performer can wow Japanese audiences and still make it to Las Vegas to support the Chiefs when they take the field for the Super Bowl wearing Red,” the press release went on to say.

Swift is slated to attend but not perform at the Grammy Awards on February 4 before going to Japan to play four nights in a row at the Tokyo Dome from February 7 to 10. Swift is believed, though not confirmed, to board a trip from Tokyo to Vegas to witness the Chiefs and Kelce face the San Francisco 49ers.

Prior to the NFL championship, the 12-time Grammy winner attended 12 Chiefs games since she and Kelce announced their relationship in September 2023. With Swift in attendance, the Chiefs have won nine games and lost only three.

After beating the Baltimore Ravens on January 28, Kelce met Swift on the field and hugged and kissed her in front of a large crowd. The Super Bowl would be Swift’s 13th game, which is her favorite number.
