Travis Kelce makes HISTORY and breaks all-time NFL record in AFC Championship game

Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs set an NFL record for career postseason catches in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens.

 

Patrick Mahomes’ 8-yard reception in the first half gave Kelce 152 postseason catches, surpassing wide receiver Jerry Rice for the most in NFL history.

 

The grab was Kelce’s eighth of the game. His 19-yard touchdown reception put the Chiefs up 7-0 in the first quarter. Kelce is also second behind Rice in postseason touchdown receptions. Rice had 22 points, whilst Kelce had 19.

 

Kelce entered the game with 1,694 receiving yards in the playoffs, following only Rice (2,245) in the NFL records.
